Heroic Knack - Dramatic Exit, contributed by

"Wait, they couldn't possibly be keeping the hostages in the old furnace
could they? Could th-...hey, where'd he go? I hate it when he does that."
Whether you have a penchant for simply disappearing when others aren't paying
attention, in a haze of smoke, or simply not being there once the bus has passed
your absence is more noticeable than most people's presence. Fate, skill, or
a simply unobtrusive nature conspire to make you a true master
System: The character has the distinct talent of disappearing seemingly
without a trace when he is 'unobserved'. What constitutes unobserved is, of
course, up to the storyteller (as a man crossing a street may still be seen
by some other pedestrians when the trolley passes, but not by those who would
actually be looking for him), but it is something that is understood to be the
heaviest limit on this ability. When not being pursued the character can simply
be gone...to him it is as simple as walking around a corner or slipping out
a back door, but to those who turn expecting to see him it is as if he has disappeared.
When being pursued, either on foot or through investigatory means, this knack
puts a +2 difficulty on any rolls involving said pursuit.
This knack does not allow someone to simply vanish before anyone's eyes, and
adds no bonuses to such rolls unless some extra means (such as a cloud of smoke
or power outage) provide some sort of cover. Similarly, this Knack cannot help
someone in chains or tied up escape...although if they manage to get free of
their bindings it works as per normal.
Prerequisites: The character must have a Stealth rating of 4 or higher
in order to have this knack.
